so this is week 6?!

so this is no fun.

no longer am i excited.

my get up and go, jetted days ago...idk.

i'm at the halfway point and trying not to give up (not completely, but i'm hoping to keep my motivation as gun ho as it was, not working)

i started a new workout plan last week, crossfit. love it. but i find that i'm missing the gym, the weights and cardio, and just having some form of routine...

my carb cycling ain't doin jack, thinking about going paleo.

worked out monday, was sick, yesterday, lil bit better today, but not working out so i can kick whatever bug completely.

food is stressing me out. i had chilli cheese fries today, yeah, i know =/

i'm just kinda like whatever. friday will be the start of week 7 , then just 5 measly weeks to go? serious? don't think i'll be able to do enough to actually be in the running for anything, wasn't expecting to win, but not even a mention ='<

week 5 transformation (progress pic)

If you’ve been following my post, you know that I was kinda freaking out the other week, regarding what seemed like lack of progress and the fact that my birthday weekend was fast approaching.  I really wanted to be able to enjoy it and not have to think, count, or have guilt about every little morsel or sip ingested!

The blues carried on into the next week, and I finished week 4 feeling tired , stiff, achy, and like a fatty making NO PROGRESS! Blah…blah…that is until last night, when I finally figured out how to make side by side progress pics! I didn’t take pics the 1st week, so all I had was weeks 2, 3, and 4. Once I was able to see these images side by side, I could see that little changes were starting to take place. Even though small, it was enough to give me a slight second wind, and bump up my motivation level another notch.

So, here we go, week 5 ended yesterday! I can’t believe I’m at the halfway mark. SERIOUSLY, where did the time go?! Wtf?! Lol It’s time to switch things up! I’m not too fond of the provided workout plan, and since I’ve been doing it for a month, I think it’s time to do a lil tweaking…but I digress, will save that for another post. ;p

week 4 of transformation

I wish I could write this with excitement and fitness enthusiasm, but that’s not the case.
Looks like I’m not going to make my 2/11 goal of having dropped 11 lbs :<
I’ve been working out for almost four weeks and only lost 3 lbs, which I lost the 1st week and haven’t dropped anything since them. I’m trying to follow the plan and eating 6 meals a day (doing carb cycling), but I’m really fighting not just going back to my 5 shakes and one lean protein meal a day routine I was on a couple of summers ago. With that plan I consistently dropped 2 lbs EVERY WEEK!

Maybe I can supp my snacks for protein shakes? Or perhaps on my NO CARB days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) I can do shakes and one lean protein meal?? Something needs tweaking, because I only have a little less than 8 weeks left.

Check out what my weekly carb cycle looks like:

Monday – NO CARB
Tuesday – HIGH CARB
Wednesday – NO CARB
Thursday – LOW CARB
Friday – NO CARB
Sunday – LOW CARB

Here’s the daily breakdown:

2 16.9 fl oz bottles of water before breaky
Breakfast - between 6-7am
Snack – between 8-9am
Lunch – between 10-11am
Snack – between 12-1pm
Dinner – between 4-6:30pm
Snack – when hungry (super light, no carb)

I know it’s a process, but I’m working on limited time here…stay tuned.

punta cana, i love the dominican repiblic!!!

we went for new year's and though the weather was a bit cooler this time of year and a tad windy, it was a wonderful trip!

the beaches are picture perfect, as are the people!

we had our 1st surf lesson, enjoyed tons of beach and pool time, smoked cigarillos, and rode atvs!
D.R. truly offers something for EVERYONE! not much more to say other than i highly recommend it, and hope to return.

what i'm ♥'ing right now! calpico, workout OCD, and george foreman! and 1 more thing =p

calpico with white peach! a lil sweet, but soooooo good!♥

omg, seriously, it's sooo BEYOND perfect! i can keep my workouts in detail here on a daily/weekly basis, daily food journal, water consumption, activity outside of the gym, goals, progress, rate workouts, and SO MUCH MORE! it's really helping me stay focused! i LOVE it! thank you Bubb!

♥♥♥ ♥ my george foreman grill!!!!!!♥♥♥♥

i've kinda wanted one/been curious about it for a while, but only off and on.

the other week i was flipping through oxygen (MY FAV) and it was so funny, i'd just been thinking how much i needed a george foreman grill, and there it was gracing the pages like a playboy centerfold of the month! actually, it was a small insert in an side article, but i'd been dreaming about it, and BAM! there it was laid out in all it's shiny steel glory like miss march! haha!

i LOVE to bbq, but i'm scared to light the pit by myself...i don't wanna blow my face off!
being on a serious clean diet (NO fried foods), it'd really help health/goal-wise, etc
to be able to throw all my meats and fish on the, Bubb got me one (totally read my mind without me mentioning it (funny how our "wonder twin" powers are SUPER DUPER activated sometimes!). LET ME TELL YOU, it's AWESOME! i FRIGGIN LOVE that thing! it's so easy and super quick, not to mention it really does drain all the excess fats/oils from your food! i couldn't be happier!

*one last, but most important thing i'm loving this (and every) week (and more as time goes by), my bubb-bubb! he's so supportive and just an all around awesome guy! seriously i'm so lucky! people say it, about their significant others, but on EVERYTHING, i'm blessed to have him!

(good thing he prob won't see this, cause he's not a fan of mushy-mush, so shhhhhhhh)
